We hope that this section of our site will give you some ideas for your new or remodeled kitchen. There are many cabinet styles, wood options, counter materials and hardware to choose from. Even if you don't see something here that suites your desires, please feel free to bring pictures, drawings, magazine articles, or your ideas to us and we will custom design.

In our showroom, we have several custom kitchens set up for you to see. We have built these displays to help you envision a completed kitchen layout and to help you see the various design and construction details that make Southern New England Custom Kitchens stand out from the many cabinet companies out there.

For instance, you will see that all our cabinets are completely custom made. There are no pre-manufactured boxes to be found. Each piece is custom designed and sized for your space and application.

That gives you complete control over what can fit where. There are no restrictions on widths or heights or depths, although we will work with you to ensure that the final layout is both aesthetically pleasing and comfortable and safe to use daily.

We also create custom cabinetry that resemble pieces of fine furniture, providing you with a whole new world of design options. How about a one-of-kind built-in cabinet for your entertainment center in the family room! Having a hard time finding just the right configuration for that new flat panel television? Need a set of library shelves for your den or even a custom workstation for the craft or sewing room. The possibilities are endless!

Believe it or not, building and installing custom cabinetry may be more economical than purchasing comparable pieces of furniture. And since you control the wood, style and finish, you can create a unified style and design throughout your home. And, to top it off, by adding custom pieces to your home, you will be increasing the resale value of your house immensely. You can truly think of custom cabinetry as a long term investment!

Fully Customized

Although there are standard counter heights and depths, some people will feel more comfortable with a slightly taller or shorter counter top height. Or if you or a family member has a physical disability, there are many design considerations that the typical kitchen shop may not be able to accommodate. Since Southern New England Custom Kitchens only provide completely custom kitchens and built-ins, we will be able to help you design then build and install the configuration that fits your lifestyle and needs. Many New England homes are older and have uniquely shaped rooms and spaces that won't easily accommodate the standard cabinet sizes and configuration that are provided by most kitchen shops. This is not an issue when we design your kitchen, bath or other custom project, since we design and build each piece to fit exactly into the plan. And since we create and install the pieces, we can design around the installation challenges of older homes. Sloping floors and out of square walls are inevitable in 100 plus year old homes, but they are not a problem for us. Each piece is leveled and scribed in to fit exactly and when we are done, your kitchen will not only fit the style of your home, but will look and perform absolutely beautifully.
